Panasonic batteries are easy to produce backward batteries due to the use of lead-antimony alloy, lax impurity control and rich liquid electrolyte. Therefore, they need to be charged equally at a higher voltage of about 2.35V. Its purpose is to generate a large number of bubbles to agitate the electrolyte and alleviate the stratification of the electrolyte besides supplementing the backward batteries.
VRLA is different, it uses antimony-free alloy, the impurity control is very strict in the manufacturing process, the battery self-discharge is very low; electrolyte is adsorbed in the ultra-fine glass fiber separator, the battery adopts short design or horizontal installation, will not form the phenomenon of electrolyte stratification, regular high-voltage balanced charging, can only increase water loss, increase the corrosion of the positive grid. Experiments show that the water loss of charging at 2.35V/monomer 25 (?) for 48 hours is equivalent to that of charging at 2.23V/monomer 25 (?) for 3 months.
